Since I added my passing lamps, I know I am far more visible as well. that is actually when I pulled the diffuser out.

The short life of the Silverstar H4's has been discussed on here before. It was mentioned that the H4's were for automobiles and the Silverstar H4ST is the one made for motorcycles. Haven't tried either one, but perhaps the H4ST's will last longer.

I tried both with the same results.

Great job. Now take your bulb to any car spares shop and get yourself a Blue bulb for about 5 bucks and see the difference. It produces a white light not the yellow one normally produced by the standard bulb

Default Best Free Mod 4 Brighter Headlight

I guess maybe I've been lucky but my Sylvania H4ST bulb has about 5,000 miles on it and that includes rough Idaho roads. I'd like to see more results on this thread on the Diffuser Removal Mod.

I did this mod as well with a Silvania Ultra as well. My Sylvania Ultra last about 9000 miles before high beam burnt out. I ride on with high during the day unless I'm in a group.

I could swear I was using the H4ST bulb but I suppose I could be mistaken. Maybe I'll give it another shot when this one burns out.
