Red face Well that was embarassing

We stopped for gas this afternoon after riding for a couple of hours and I went to lean my bike over on the kickstand and uh oh it's not stopping. Luckily I just sat it down and it just left a little scrape on the bottom of the primary but my pride was hurting pretty bad dropping it in front of a dozen guys I ride with. My sportster was light enough I could just manhandle it back up, but not my fat bob. Once I hit the tipping point it was all over.

Did the same thing in my garage a few weeks ago.
The best part of it was when my smart *** 6 year old said "Hey dad it looks like you put your bike down for a nap, was it tired?"
All I could do was laugh.

I have as of yet in 2 years of riding my Fatbob not dropped it once. Came close but broke my back saving it.

You probably heard this from your riding buds, but we've all done it. Mine was pulling out of my neighborhood uncertain of whether I would turn left or right. While I was deciding my bike didn't and fell over. I dropped it standing up!

Anyway, scraped the primary and bent some stuff even though it fell lighter than a feather. Adrenalin helped my pull it back up in an instant but had me all jittery for the rest of my ride.

The only time I dropped a bike was back in 81 when I graduated auto tech school. We had a big party and I was sitting sideways on my bike (74 Norton 850 Commando) and fell over because I was hammered. Luckily the bike fell on me and was not hurt.

When I came out and tried to start it she backfired REAL loud and there was a girl maybe 8 years old walking behind me she screamed like someone shot her and went running back towards the door haha couldnt help but laugh
