Default Pics before painting

Started yesterday to dismantle parts for painting so thought I would post up some before pics, what a nightmare removing the pipes and fittings from inside the tank. Have to say I was a bit concerned to see some areas of rust starting to appear on the frame and tank brackets, particularly as it is only just over 12 mths old, don't make them like they used too !!

This is what it is going to be painted like, just changing the logo to probably the Harley Skull & maybe a few other bits.

Will post up more pics later.

Any tips on disconnecting the alarm, thought all you had to do was disconnect the battery

Then I tried pulling the fuses but still no luck

I think you need to enter the code manually to turn off your alarm. I think it's 4 digits should have got it when you bought the bike. Love the colour too

Thanks for that will contact my dealer. With regard to the colour, yes the Black Ice Pearl is great until you want to do any changes to the bike, like my chopped rear fender, can't get anyone even HD approved painters to do this colour, i even contacted Harley direct & it turns out they contracted out the painting of this colour during manufacture & they won't give any info out !!! Typical Harley, you can buy a pre-painted item direct from Harley at twice the normal retail price !!! So decided to go for a completely different colour.

Loving the paint scheme. Sure beats the new factory orange sunburst!
