I just heard HD is going to put a backup camera and sensors on all bikes so people would stop backing into things.

I have the same problem. 2010 Street Bob. I noticed blistered paint coming from around the base of the tail light in 2013. HD dealer said sorry, out of warranty, not covered.
Fast forward to today, I know why the paint blistered, my fender is cracked on both sides of the tail light down to the bottom of the fender. Sure seems like a manufacturing problem, but again no help from HD shop.
Anyone else have the same problem?
I'm afraid if I replace the fender it will just be a matter of time until the new one cracks. Any ideas to a permanent fix?

 

The tail light doesn't match the curve of the fender so when it's tightened down, it distorts the fender & over time develops cracks. I chopped the rear fender on my 06 SB & installed the 09 tail light. Noticed the cracks a couple years later. My redneck fix is a tywrap from the fender rack around the light to keep it from vibrating.

 

My 2011 cracked in warranty. Got a new fender and it's been fine ever since. Pretty sure it happened in 2011 also by the way. I'm guessing they solved the problem.
