Broken '10 WG motor mount, PART F'N 4!!!

No vibes at particular RPM's...as far as the symptoms though, here goes:
-Rolling off the throttle, big time vibes all over thebike that match the motor rpm.
-Hitting any bumps, it feels like the pegs on my forward controls are loose because the motor is crashing up and down on the frame brace connected to the peg mounts.
Stupid question, but what would crank run-out have to do with it? Not the first time I've heard that.....
I love the bike. My plan was to keep this and get a bagger next year so I'd have one for ever occasion, lol. Drop a 117 into the WG and cam a new 103" bagger.....sweet. I may have to go the other way around though...
Thinking I may just end up making them take this back and going for a 103" StreetGlide or RoadGlide Custom, then buying a cheap used SuperGlide or something I can molest into a hellacious barhopper......
Now the dealer is closed until Tuesday, but Monday I will be on the phone to the MC....and no I have not done that yet, though I probably should have.
I will say though that the dealer the bike is at now is trying to work with me......so we'll see.

Keep all your repair orders for documentation. All the dealer has to do is word your complaint (concern) differently on each repair order to get them off the lemon law hook...make sure when you sign the repair order the service advisor writes the repair order just as you stated and not change the wording! I would ask for a meeting with the district service manager (factory rep). The rep will look over the bikes service history and ALL the attempted repairs made to rectify your concern/symptom. regardless of where the repairs where made. He may even want the bike taken to a dealer with a better track record for diagnosing and fixing the bike right the first time. Diagnosing means more than replacing the broken mount, it means finding the root cause of the broken mount. The dealer does NOT buy the bike back in a lemon law case the maufacturer does.

I have been careful about keeping all my paperwork, and will review it to see what all the tickets say. I know they all so far list "replaced motor mount" just not sure about the notes.
I will check on the factory rep tomorow when I call Harley. The dealer it's at now told me that if Harley ends up taking it back, then they have said they will probably leave the bike with the dealer and have them R&D it for a while before it goes back to the factory. Apparently they have done this a few times before, I've been told this is the only dealer that HD will actually do this with....
Either way, we will find out what HD says tomorow morning....

I'm in the auto business. Call HD customer service, open a case and tell them you want to meet with a HD service rep and state your issue. I'm sure they will replace the bike. If they cant get another 2010 they might ask for a contribution from you to move up a model year. If your calm and state your case nicely they will surely help. Ultimatly the MOCO wants you happy. Good luck and dont rely on the dealer, Not all dealers have the forsight to see if they help you that you will likely be their customer for life.

It will be interesting to see if they tell you what the actual problem is. Please post it if you find out. I've been dealing with what I believe is excessive vibration for over a year. Dealer replaced front mount 6 months ago and that reduced vibes considerably, but only for about 6 to 7 hundred miles. I'm now back to the same numbing vibes between 2000 & 2500 rpm. MOCO should step up on yours.

OK, some of you here may remember here that when I bought my bike, it came right out of the crate with the HD Optional Broken Motor Mount. Went from 4 to 28 miles before the dealer believed it really wasn't just "break-in vibes" and replaced it.
At 5,000 miles, that one broke. 300 miles later.......that one also broke. 120 miles later........yup, I now have another ****ed up motor mount in my brand new 18K bike.
Maryland lemon law says if a vehicle (cars, light trucks, & bikes) has 4 of the same repairs that effect either the resale value or saftey of said vehicle AND is less than 24 months or 18,000 miles then it qualifies and the dealer has to take it back for full purchase price. The dealer has already agreed that my bike meets all of that.....anyone here wanna buy a bike that ***** mounts every other week. Keep in mind I bought this thing new in April of this year. So that's 4 motor mounts in 6 months.
They have my bike right now "examining" it and attempting a fix.
My problem is......i don't think I want the ****in thing back. Especially if they end up having to do any type of frame modifications at all....I don't want a new bike with frame-work! As much as I love it, I pay way too much to have to worry about the mount every time I take a trip. It's rediculous. This says nothing about the front tire they had to replace under warranty, either.
You guys think I am being picky, or tell them to ride that bike up thier asses?

OK, I just spoke with HD....and I am even more pissed. He told me that there is no way a motor mount can be broken right out of the crate when it was new. Physically impossible. As far as any other mounts ever breaking, it just never happens, so I must be lying, just kept saying, "I'll just shut my mouth now before I get myself in trouble....my opinion does not matter."
Also told me that my V&H BigRadius exhaust is probably what's tearing up the mounts IF all the laws of physics are actually wrong and there are broken mounts. "These bikes are not designed for aftermarket parts, and when you put them on this is the price you pay." That actually came out of his mouth. In real life. The pipes are tearing up my mounts.
He gave me a refrence number and asked me to have the dealer call them in the morning.....I guess him investigating it with the dealer was too much work.
I am definately not happy with that response. I was amazingly calm with him, while letting him know how "displeased" I am at the same time.
I feel like I just got fed a line of bullshit. I am going to go drink some beer to wash it down now.........This is not what I expected from HD.
