Tour Pak looks good mounted forward. All you need in a pad for your lower back attached to the front.
That's how I want to mount the pak on my Shovel. The Shovel is my solo bike anyway.

Edit: I just found this on eBay. One day left. It is Sunday morning at this time. Has a few bids, but the Buy It Now is $150.

Bike is looking great, you're right about the superglide history, with all the softails out there it's nice to see superglide baggers.i prefer the superglide bagger over the heritages anyday. Keep us posted on the trunk paint

tourpak is at the body shop getting sanded smooth, body work where needed to get her smooth, and then paint with wet sanding and buff....pics to follow when finished.

Saddlebags are reproduced and available through V-Twin Mfg. The "Yellow" book, page 721.

They have been modified, all extra brackets removed, holes filled, entire surface glazed, sanded smooth and painted, wet sanded and buffed.

The Tour Pak is NOS factory original. It currently is in the body shop getting the same treatment as the saddlebags got.

Tour Pak is all done. When the body shop sanded it down, they found that the "orange peel" surface was in fact a thin outer gel coating covering raw fiberglass! So after sanding it smooth, they had to spray it with a thick coat of "Feather Fill", then block it smooth, then paint, wet sand and finally buff. ALOT of work, but it is like glass now. Anyhow, here are some pics.

Looks good. Like how everything hugs the rear fender.

You aren't looking at batwings now are you?

I have a FLH style front fender on the way....and I'm thinking about a batwing as well.

Most of the responses I have received have been positive, except one guy today who saw the bike before all of the bags were on....he thought I lost my mind. I expected many more to be against it.

I like it, that's what matters the most, I guess.
