As soon as I got my bike I added a pair of used throw-overs. But I'm planning to exchange them for police-style hard-bags, so they'll be rain-proof and lockable.

Here's how I mounted it...
Here's my HD Saddle bags mounted... I only put these on prior to needing them. only takes 10-15 mins for a complete swap out...

That is a cool setup. Are the bags attached to the quick release brackets too after the solo is removed? Looking to do something similar.
