Hi All-just bought a used 02 Dyna Low Rider. Is the gas gauge actually accurate, a mere approximation, or just a bad guess? I have not had it delivered yet, so I don't have any idea what to expect from it. Any input is appreciated.

You'll also find that due to the placement of the fuel gauge on the L'Rider, it's damn hard to see anyway. [sm=headbang.gif]

Your 02 FXDL is probably a carb, so what they are saying won't apply. You will have a red area at 1/4 tank that is the reserve area, when you hit the red, you will be flipping the switch to reserve very soon! You will have about a half gallon at reserve, even though manual says .9 gallons. Like any float style gauge the first half goes slow, and second half much faster!
