Default Annoying lights problem

I noticed last week that occasionally the turn signals and/or the horn stop working. Headlight and taillight run always. But nothing happens when I press the turn signal buttons. Then, suddenly it may start working.

Many times, I can turn the bike completely off and on again, and they work. It almost seems like the key is in the wrong position.

I'm concerned now since I notice when this happens the bake lights don't come on, so I want to fix this or just put the bike away for the season until I can get it fixed.

I've got a turn/stop light module installed, but that's been there over 2 years with no problems.

Any ideas where to look, so I can avoid a big expense bringing it in to the dealer? Thanks.

1) pull the run-brake-turn module and see if the problem goes away.
2) check for loose ground connections at the battery and chassis.
3) If you have changed bars, go over your wires looking for pinches or breaks.
4) check codes to see if there are any faults.
5) there is no rule number 5, but good luck!

Do what Ratbob suggested... Might find the problem behind the brakelight. Hope it's a easy fix

Sounds like a ground in the harness, if it was just you rear sigs and lamp then I would say that it might be in the tail lamp assem. but seeing as to how you also included your horn in this isssue, I would say that it is prob. a ground either in the neck/downtube connections or under the seat.
