Default Rear tire and wheel-2010 wide glide

I am ordering Wrath contrast cut wheels and Metzler tires from Performance Machine and have to chose between a 18 x 5.5 wheel with a 180 tire or a 17 x 6 wheel with a 200 tire. The stock wheel is a 17 x 5.5? with a 180.

Does anyone know if the 200 tire will fit? Any experience with switching out the 17 for a 18 wheel, or other comments? Thanks.

to fit a metzler 200 you will need a 5.5 or 5.75 rim it will not fit on the 4.5

i sugest the 18x5.5 or 5.75 as tires are much easier to find in 200. do not forget your pulley spacer

pulley spacer from vulcan engineering

Pretty sure in 17" wheel Metz only makes a 210 width and 200 for the 18"

i have a metz 200 mounted on my 17in stock wide glide wheel....it looks sucked in where the bead seats. it makes the 200 look like a 180, because the rim width is to narrow.. the stock wheel is 4.5inches wide, i just ordered a 17x6 rim and i will lace it with my stock spokes and hub...

So the pulley spacer is the only mod to get a 200 on the WG???
