Default What is the spread distance on your sissy bar?

I have an 11 wide glide and want to see the difference between a 10/11 wideglide as upossed to an 06 and up dyna sissy bar. Since its hard to find a used one at a good price, new like 300, i want to see if what the difference is from an 06 and up dyna which are like 100 bucks on ebay complete. I want to find the one that will fit from a specific year. Please let me know what your distance over the fender is and the mounting holes from center to center as well as the year and model bike it came off of.

If there are any 2010/11 wide glide owners that took off there small black one measur that one so then i will know the exact measurement i need.

Your rear fender in definitely wider than 06-08 WG.

Why not measure the sissy bar you have installed on the bike? Not sure I understand why you're asking someone else for the measurement.

I can only measure mine on the bike. If someone has removed the original small black sissy bar off there 10/11 wide glide then they can get a better measurement than i can by holding a tape measure over my fender and looking down.

You also mention that 06-08 wg is different, that my 11 is wider. This is what i want to find out by asking others that have a sissy bar on there 06-08 wg to see what they come up with from over the fender distance to mounting holes.

My 11 wg with the tape measure over the fender looks to be like 9-9 1/2 inches across the fender and about 10 inches on the mounting holes. Again this is an estimate without taking it off.

You can get a more accurate measurement on yours by jacking up the rear of the bike just enough to drop the wheel out of the wheel well a bit. Then measure from under the fender to get the spread.

I measured with it mounted on the bike.

The side plates (center to center on the detachable hardware) are as follows. These measurements are from one side plate to the other while mounted.

---Rear mounting point: 10 3/4" spread
---Front mounting point: 11 1/2" spread

The fender strut bolts, which hold the detachable mount hardware are 10 5/16" center to center on the bolts.

thxs bry, so the mounting spread is different from front to back? i would have thought the fender is square, thus being the same front to back. well now all i need is the mounting measurement for an 06-08 dyna. i am not looking to get a removeable one just a hard mount. this way it will just replace the stock black one. hope to hear from someone with an 06-08 model.
