I started to take some pictures as i built it,,,but i did kind of prehistoric ,
,,I bought two 36 '' long 1/2 round bar,and 36''x 2x1/8 inch flat bar ,,,total $18.00
bed liner $8.00 and ss bolt and washers,,,$3.00...
,#1,tacked the two bars together so when i bent them the would be the same angle,,,,
#2 heated the bar about 6 inches back and used a vice to bend a 45 degree angle
#3 made a card board cut out of the rear fender and struts about in the area when i would be putting the sissy bar
#4 cut loose tack from bar and measure 24 inchs down from top bend
#5 used back pad to get correct angle by placeing it on inside of bars
#6 place bars back in vice (bent ends up) rollled both bar inward until i had a angle/foldback i thought looked good,,
#7 then i slowly grinded away at flat ends of bar rolling them in until i made a nice point
#8 check my angle for pad and once i seen that was good i tacked the bar together
#9 traced out pad onto flat bar,(pad was 4'' so i cut and welded two pieces of flat bar together to make 4 inch wide)..then cut out pattern that i traced and tacked that into place between bar,,
#10 Layed sissy bar down on ground and place fender pattern on bottom ,,to mark and make bends to line up sissy bar with struts,,,heated and bent them in
#11 cut two 5 inch flat bar to make mounting plates
#12 level off sissy bar and tacked on mounting backets,,
#13 checked sissy bar to bike and then layed some beads,,
#14 grind down welds and finish with sanding wheel
#15 sand paint and mount up
Hope that helps,,, hardest part was to get all the angles right,,,
