Default 1-Piece Brake Line?

Im in the process of buying some ape bars. So, thought Id also change out all my cables with Magnum Chromite 2's. Just wondering, on custom bikes they all seem to have one-piece brake lines. Why do Harley's have the 2-piece (with a connecting tube bolted under triple tree)?
What's the advantages/disadavantes of each system? Is is possible to put a one-piece brake cable on a Dyna? Or would this mean changing out the resovoir and brake calipers?

Thanks!

P.S. reason I ask is I feel the one piece line just looks cleaner.

I use a 1 pc black diamond braided line on my street bob. No changes to equipment are necessary. 1pc is better, less chance for air to get trapped in them during the bleeding process.

+1 on the one-piece brake line. I used a 54" Goodridge Ebony line when I put 16" apes on my Street Bob.

I also run a 1 piece brake line. Looks much cleaner than the 2 piece.

Is there any advantage to the 2-piece? Or is it that way just better for assembly/dissasembly?

How do you guys secure the 1-piece-do you route it through a clamp/clip on the triple trees?

Thanks again.

The 08' up have one piece brake lines, basically a SS line without the SS covering. I used the 08' line on the front and rear on my 07', but you can't use the 08' up on the rear unless you go to the 08' up floating rear brake set up. Seems to me you can route it the same way using the existing clamps.

I think Magnum have a page for the one peice option:

http://www.magnumshielding.com/store...ngle_brake.php

They dont specifically state its a "one peice front brake line" but when i went thru the measuring instructions thats what it seems to be. Guess Ill call them directly when i get my new bars.

I used the magnum cables on my 16" apes. I ran the one peice brake line the same as the factory using the same clamps. But because the clamps were a bit larger I used some black hose and wrapped the line in the clamp to hold it snug. It works great and is not visable at all.
