09 superglide custom noticed a clunk going over bumps adjusted fall away and retorqued head bolt to 80 foot pounds still some noise pressed down on consel while going over bumps and noise stopped check concel bolts seemed tight check fromt gas tank bolt was not loose but I cranked it a lot tighter and the clunk has stopped try holding down on concel if you have this problem when going over bumps could be this simple

You could also check your motor mounts, front and rear. Not sure which bolt you torqued to 80 ft/lbs that you described as a head bolt?

He means "console".
He is referring to the steering head bolt.

sorry can see how things are confusing when not descibed properly i did mean the steering head bolt at 80 foot pounds and consel should be the speedodometer fall away was loose tightened to hd specs think it was a combination of that and tightening of gas tank bolts that stopped the clunk will check motor mounts and kickstand rubber guard it seems this guard can turn on frame making it harder for your foot to put it down
