New 2010 WG
OK i came into some cash recently and decided it was time to buy myself a new HD, I have owned plenty of metrics over the years and even a 64 bonnie (great bike) but this is my first new HD.
I want to my local dealer and they were willing to deal on a 2010 WG so I bought it. I also droped another 6k in parts to make it my own.
So my question is, I really like the PM heathen wheels so is it just to over the top to drop another 4.5k on wheels, rotors, pulley and AC before I've even picked the bike up?

If you have the money to spend, you may as well have what you want. Sometimes dealers will give you a credit for some parts you won't be using, so I would check with them on a discount for the wheels and such. Make sure they give you all the parts your bike came with unless they discounted the replacements. You can always sell them yourself and get back some of the upgrade cost.

Like he said if you have the money, get what you want. I would however look around the web. You can get a better price for all you want (wanaryd.com/ eastern performance cycle/ j&p cycle/ Dennis Kirk ) I just ordered PM contrast platnium torque wheels, fwd controls, rotors and pulley all for about 4k. The stealer may match the prices you find, doubt it though. Think about the labor they are gonna charge as well. Do the work yourself none of those parts are that difficult to install, except the mount and balance on the wheels and tires. Pick up the dyna manual for 50 bucks and save hundreds if not thousands. Also those parts will most likely have atleast a month wait on them. I was told mine wouldn't be in till the beginning of Nov.

I am getting all my stock parts that are being replaced and I will throw them in the corner of the garage. The wheels, pulleys, and rotors are still what I am thinking about and I think once I make sure all the other things I need to take care of are done I will get them if I can still afford it. Once it is all said and done I will be poor again but I dont care, been poor all my life. I will at least have the bike I want the way I want it.
