Where to find replacement Main Wiring Harness
#11
Heather tell Sean to go to a West Marine or similar store or on line and get some marine grade heat shrink electrical crimp connectors in the correct wire guage. They are easy to use splicing broken wires (they heat seal with a bic lighter) and will not come apart and will take severe service since they are made for marine use. Then just splice the old harness back together.
Now that sounds like a plan! I told him to get his butt on here and read all of this. He's on his way home. I'm sure he'll be on soon.

I use them on my boat, cars, bike everything. never had one come apart yet. the butt connectors are what you want. You insert both wires, crimp, then hit both ends lightly with a bic lighter. Zama done. Then wrap over them with electrical tape before re-installation. They are 100% waterproof.

This sounds like a plan or you could have the wires spliced and soldered then heat shrink to seal this is a very solid repair. You could solder in a connector or you could replace the cut wires from start to stop. A new loom for classic bike are around £120 so i would have thought £ 150 tops not sure what that is in your money but i would just splice and off set the joints and retape the loom.
