Default Aftermarket forward controls?

ROCK! just got my new set of forward controls, Supreme Legends. I need to know how to hook up the brake light, and what i should do about the mid shifter shaft. If there is a way to eliminate it, would out buying hds forward controls.
Any insite will help.
Thanks

The HD kit comes with a taller shifter piece and you actaully have to take off the whole primary assembly to get to it. It's the same one that comes stock on the WG so I'm sure you could just get one of those.

I'm not sure, but I think the brakelight uses a pressure switch. I'm assuming your controls came with a new master cylinder? If so, just make sure the new brakeline goes into the switch and it should be fine.

You can also just buy the chrome cover that bolts onto the old shifter. Make a clamp to hold the lever part to the engine case and you will hardly notice it.

Re: the mid shift lever

The 01-05 forward controls kit came with a bracket to secure the shift lever the engine, I will see if I can find the part# at lunch. I was able to pick up the bracket separately from the dealer (I have an 06') and install it without a problem. I did not replace the transmission shift lever with the longer one and everything works fine.

If you are comfortable with removing the primary/clutch/inner primary, then by all means do it, I didn't have the tools nor the desire to pay 3.3 hours labor when a 10$ part fixed the problem.
