I just bought a Nelson Rigg CL-700 expandable sissy bar bag. They have a bunch of bags at varying sizes. Depending on how much your planning on stuffing in the bag you might not be able to get away with no rack without the bag at least sagging.

CL-700

I also looked at some T-Bags and Saddlemen but this one fits my needs.
