JOe they look great! now make some fillers for them! I am a huge fan of FLH bags, just got a set for a buddy off ebay for a buddy for 32 bucks! the guy labled them as honda CB bags cause they where on an old honda CB, same way i got mine (55 bucks)
here is how i made my fills, granted mine stick out about a 1/4 inch further than yours do if not a 1/2 inch as i have detach sissy bar hardware as well... but here is what mine look like wiht the fills
sorry the only pics i have suck, i know... and as I said mine stick out further so i was trying to clean it up a bit... still not sure if i am sold on them!
Also, little tip! may want to get a touch light (the small 3 LED touch light) you can order them from ebay pretty cheap, i put 1 in each bag on mine and at night they are a blessing to see what you got going on in there!

Thanks Joe.
I ordered a couple more pieces today:
Both pieces will be powdercoated gloss black, and the sissybar brackets will be cut down and modified. They will be brackets available for hooking bungie cords on when I need to strap stuff down. My idea is to get a couple of those black rubber bungee cords, and then dip the hooks in hot plastic, so that the hooks won't scratch anything. With the rack and brackets being gloss black, they will blend right in.
Then, the bike is ready for any "future" touring I may decide to do after military retirement.
Anyway, just an update.
P.S. My chrome louvered backing for my license plate came in. Pics after assembly to follow.

Got some work done today.
Here is the louvered backing plate installed:
here are my 1/8" thick steel plates being test fitted for hole alignment
And...here they are drying. I filed them down, sanded the metal and gave them a thick coat of some gloss black caliper paint I had laying around. They will be installed with some washers and acorn nuts I picked up. This is just the trick to sandwich the fiberglass and make the bags sturdy and crack proof.
