Hey everyone,

Just wanted to ask around for suggestions on replacement options for this really ugly (and annoying) leather tank panel.

Pictures, or links, would be greatly appreciated to see what options are available.

I was just trying to decide if I wanted to take mine off or replace it with the chrome one last night. It's pretty worn and doesn't sit down flat. Here's the chrome one http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US. I think I'll just take it off and see what the tank looks like under it first.

 

I took mine off and put the chrome one on... didn't like that either. I just run it without anything on there now and think it looks much better.

I have the chrome one just sitting around if you want it PM me.

 

I've seen the chrome one and not sure if that is the direction I want to go.

I'd love to put a completely new one similar to the Street Bob complete console assembly.

 

The chrome one is plastic on the 07's and scratch's easily. I took the leather one off, got the chrome, took that off and go with out anything. Think it looks a lot better

 

I went with the HD black leather pouch. I also do like the functionality of it which is one of the main reasons I went that way. I have also since powder coated my console which is not shown in the below picture (but will be soon when I update my pics).

 

Still have my stock one on. I use it to stash handwritten maps and such.....

 

Yeah, I've used it to stash a printout of a map as a ghetto GPS unit. I've also ran without mine and then put it back on. Besides the chrome/plastic one there is one with a Willie G skull on it, leather or equivalent material...

 

I figure if nothing else it helps keep me from scratching the tank.....plus I have a mp3 player velcro'd to it. Works great actually

 

+1 on the HD pouch. I had the chrome one on for a while, then bought the larger leather pouch from HD. I put my MP3 and my garage door opener in it.
