So glad I started this thread, can't believe none ever started before. So many awesome posts and different looks..

Just got my 7" light back from powdercoating, so off with the teeny one again.

The wrinkle is called Black Ice Heavy Texture. Pretty sick a goo alternative to standard wrinkle. Had my fork legs done in this coating as well..

Ok, stupid question. Put a bullet on, forgot which wire goes where. Is yellow or white in the middle?

Basically my low beam on the controls is the bright and vice versa. Just switch yellow and white?

Anybody found a 7 inch housing that you can put the new 7" LED headlamp in - would it work in the FatBoy Housing? http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

Or has anyone tried the new LED 5 3/4" lamp? http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US I'm real interested in a review of the 5 3/4 inch LED. The boys on the touring section love the 7 incher.

The 2010 superglide headlight is rubish, was the second most useless thing on the bike...

I have one and must say it is night and day difference in beam pattern, effective luminance and color. Fit right in on my 09 FXDC. Very pleased. I too was thinking about getting the 7" light and a 7" bucket but found the size does not look right on a FXDC. Might look better on a bike with the larger touring front forks or with the big fat front wheel on other models but out of place on the FXDC. I have an email into the supplier asking if the number of LEDS and projector sizes are the same on the 5 3/4" and 7" models. The 7" looks like a larger low beam projector but waiting to hear back from J W Speaker on that. Anyway, LED lighting is coming and is a great step forward from HID just as HID was from halogen. Check out the website of the supplier.
