Go on my web site and download to view the Metzler catalog on my DIY page. Look at the diameters of both tires. Now you will know for sure the answer. Convert MM to inches and divide by 1/2 because it is a radius which counts for height.

Thanks for the math on the wheels. I failed that class. Good thing you guys are around. I might have ended up with a ground sniffing fxdb.

Fender will be a later thought. Dont ride in the rain if i can help it so its not on the priority list. the bolts def have to be cut down for tire to fit.

Getting ready to place order for the parts to get this going. Just gotta figure out what spokes. Is the Actual hub (without the guts) the same on the xbones and street bob? If so then the 16 inch kit would work. Maby ill just let the shop that is lacing it supply the spokes.

Also what tire do you guys reccomend? Metzeler? The stock xbones dunlop? avon? I want something thats gonna handle good.

Nice site Fast Harley, Some good stuff on there.

Surfor, That 16 on the front looks sweet! Did you do a wideglide conversion? ...
Did a 'wideglide' in the generic sense that the Fat Boy front end is same width as a FXDWG .... Front wheel is from a Heritage Softail that I powdercoated hub and rim gloss black ....

I've just been using the Heritage stock/replacement rubber ... the Dunlop 402F ... although I might be able to get a little 'fatter' if I bothered looking, I haven't been able to muster the interest ... in my judgment, having gone to the '16 by' it is a noticeable enough statement ... I am not out to win any fattest front tire contest ....

I have been satisfied with the performance of the Dunlop ... I am sure it is a 'compromise' ... that there are higher performance tires I could be using ... whatever ....

I wonder, too ... if they are not made as bike tires, I am pretty sure they were at one time ... check out coker tires or firestone and some vintage tires will probably come up ... just saw some really similar on the cokertire website ....

That tire looks cool as hell!! might look into them depending on price.

Did a little more research today. Im pretty sure im good to go with my mid glide cause the sportster 48 sports the xbones wheel up front on a mid.

Other riders are telling me not to mix tires. I was looking at a metz for front and have stock michelin in back. They are sayin bad idea due to the metz being more aggressive.

Just surfing around, i found harley part # 44937-08 . wheel assembly, front, 16 in, laced, w/o bearings and sleeves. i can get this for probably cheaper than having my hub laced. anyone know if this will fit my bob without mods?
