tires are too important of a part of the bike to mess around with in my opinion

Clearly you missed my sarcasm! I agree wholeheartedly...change your tire!

I must have missed it....so clearly I need to have my sarcasm meter dyno'd. Sorry for my goof. And glad we at least agree on the point. :-)

I took the wheel to a dealer today. He took the tire off the wheel and the tire did look stressed and worn on the inside. I had the dealer replace the tire and check the wheel. The wheel was fine.

good for you good to see someone having some self reliance, often you got to do what you got to do, and as posted above get a new tire and tube, 20 hundred bucks for your life seems a fair trade to me :-)

The only time I've had a flat front was on my KLR street and trail. I was getting off the interstate and it blew. I kept it upright but in the offramp turn I lost it at about 30MPH. I didn't have the option of braking and riding straight till I could stop. I was 200 miles from home so I patched the tube on the side of the road. Made it about 20 miles and it went flat again. Patched it again and only made it about 1 mile.

Both my tube and tire were trashed. Glad you went with the new rubber. Front flats are not fun!

same thing happened to me this weekend. I'm just gonna take the opportunity to replace both tires. my front tire even broke the bead. I had taken my bike in to BARNETT to have front tire looked at. It was looking weird and cupping/coning all around center of tire. Personell at Barnett said I had over inflated the tire. HORSE$h!t. less than a week later, doing 60 on a turn, front tire goes flat. DONT CHANCE IT!. Get a new tire. The Dunlops used on this bike have a defect with cracking. A batch was left in the mold for to long. NO RECALL YET. It won't happen till someone dies because of it. Hopefully your local dealer will be more helpful than BARNETT HARLEY DAVIDSON.
