Default Security light comes on while riding

been having the issue of my security light coming on while riding and i would like to share what happened
It would be steady red for awhile and then go out. One day the light came on while riding then went out when i accidentally tapped on the front brake lever. It then dawned on me after further investigation that the brake light switch was sticking in the on position which was then sending a fault code to the computer after being on for a few minutes. I thought the aftermarket levers were causing the lever not to contact the switch right but i just think the switch is just sticking sometimes. Now when the light comes on i just give the front brake lever a little up and down jiggle and the light instantly goes out. I guess i should change out the brake light switch to remedy the problem

Your brake lever will be just on. Your bike thinks your riding with the brake on and flashes the red warning light up. I had same thing with my fatbob. My mechanic took the lever off glued a little/thin piece rubber to the pointy bit of the leaver. Which makes lever stay out and off the brake while riding. Easy fix.

The key light came back on then went off and back on then after a minuite went off and stayed off? So Im lost. I do not have a security system on the bike and that further confuses me. Any input from anybody would be nice. I did put Apes on the bike like 2-3 months ago but not had any issues.
Thanks

This just happened to me last week, replaced the FOB battery, it was a year old, no more red key lights; 2012 FLHTC.

I thought it was a dead fob battery too and changed it and the light went away, however, the other day the light came on, I had just changed the fob batt a month ago, I read a solid light can mean stored codes so I ran the DIAG and sure enough, had the following:
ECM P0131 001219-01 and BCMb1103 n 69994- 124 -128
