Another fix is to drill some 1 inch holes along the under side of the backing plate where they aren't even visible. about 4-5 of them should do and it works well in getting more air it and still looking stock , if that is what you are after.

The hole drilling looks like a good idea.
I like modified stuff.
But what the heck is a CVO bike?

I am currently waiting on set of SEII Slip ons. I am trying to decide if I want to go with a Ness Big Sucker, one of the old K&N SE AC (I know of a dealer with one or two) or just go with the CVO AC and a K&N. The other decision I need to make is whether to go with the HD StageI download or a TFI/DFO.

Hey Bill New Rochelle is a hop, skip and a jump away from me. Do you ever head up to Marcus' Dairy on Sunday's?

The DFO/TFI works well but the dealer download raises your rev limit to 6200 from 5800 if this is important. Without motor work ( cams/heads etc, the 5800 is a safer bet for you. JMHO

Use to go there quite a bit till they moved it up the line. I understand it is back at marcus now but not as big. It got a bit crazy up there for a while so I stopped going there. One guy pulled a wheelie for the length of the strip and ended up hitting a fire hydrant at the end, he will not be doing that any longer[] . Just not worth the chance as we "mature" a bit

I have no desire to raise the rev limit and I don't plan any other upgrades after the StageI.

The StageI seems convenient. While I am quite handy (as long as I have decent instructions) I like the idea of not having to mess around with installing a TFI so the dealer software seems quite attractive. On the other hand I do not want to raise the rev limit and I hear that the bike may still run lean after the StageI download.

While they don't hold Super Sunday there anymore they still have the regular Sunday morning gathering.

I met two buddies at 9.00 am yesterday morning. We took a ride to Marcus. We then hopped on I84 east to Exit 15 and took the backroads to Rte7 in New Milford, Ct to Kent, CT. Grabbed a hot dog and everyone was home with their families by 1.00pm.

Yep that route is a nice ride, done it many times, CT is a nice area to ride in.

The dealer downloads are a bit lean, but not enough to do any damage, just crisp! I have the SE Deuce with just the stage 2 flash upgraded from the factory which is just below a stage 2 on this bike and it runs real good, simple and if any problems crop up in the future, warrantee will take care of them with no worries as it is all HD.
