This is wrong. These are not carbed bikes from the 70s.

14.6 is ideal for low-load, light cruising. Better gas mileage, and a cleaner burn so you don't get carbon buildup from long rides at steady throttle.

You richen it up for throttle positions where the engine will be under load/accelerating.

@FBRR - Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. Very much appreciated.

@Herr Monk - This is what I am seeing in the tables. Only the block that are in closed loop are in the cruising / light to medium load. 10%-80% Throttle. The others are manual entered in values for the AFR Cells. They are 13.5 to 12.5 in the AFR for max throttle position, and also 0% throttle position to where the closed loop kicks in.

Well this has been a pretty good crash course. Let's thank Harley for having a pretty good knock protection for this software so we don't have to get into spark advance.

@FBRR - Above are the listings/setting for both my front and rear cylinder. Do you have any suggestions on what/which should be changed?

The only reason for changing any of those values would be to cool the engine. If you are not running to hot, and have no detontation issues, I would leave them.

If you wish to only slightly bias the fuel, you could change everything under 560 up to 560 in that table. That is very slight change and should help keep the engine a little cooler.

Sc-Longhair,
I am ( or was/retired a lead calibration engineer for an OEM, using very similar software. ) I also talked a Harley dealer into letting me "tune" my own EFI bike with his system as a payback for showing his tech, how to use the tool. I have some knowledge and I'm always happy to help when I can offer assistance. There are some differences in technique from our "development" setups to the self tune software functions, but the main tables and software remain the same.

UGH!!!
We have two major dealers near me (one of which is the Canadian distributor for HD) and neither of them recommend the SERT/SEST. Both have told me to stay away and that they prefer to tune the PC......... no idea what that says about the dealers or the harley product but I just thought I'd chime in...........

And in a nut shell, all this "information", talent and knowledge is why dealers are able to charge the bucks they do. One just hopes and prays they dont rip you off and do it right the first time. Anyway, It's all greek to me, but I do know my stock 07 Low Rider was running so hot, I'd have to stick my right leg out away from the bike if we were sitting at a light or in traffic for any length of time. I think the EPA & the FEDS have these things running so lean it's ridiculous. Had my dealer install V&H Double Barrels, PCIII, SE/AC and had them richen up the mixture then run a dyno. Noticed a drop of around 5 mpg but my engine is running way cooler and my right leg isn't going to feel like it's going to burst into flames. I have no complaints and have established an excellent relationship with my dealer over the years.

They probably:

A) Don't have a good tech that understands the software -or-

B) Don't want to pay to have a good tech with proper training on the product.
