Lots of speedo's out there you have to look in some books like J&P or Dennis kirk .Maybe a Dakota Digital they have a direct plug in for your bike with a tach!
I haven't seen to many on here. I did a search to see if there was a thread for superglides but didnt find one.
If you have one post it up. Id love to see what others have done with thiers, it may give me some ideas, such as what to do with the SPEEDOMETER!!!
Well, the speedometer with its current mounting location does hamper most attempts to clean up the bar area. Those buckhorn bars were also a major ergonomic nightmare for me.
I decided to ditch the bars and move the speedometer. To do this I installed risers and drag bars....Much more comfortable and the handling improvement was phenomenal! That old speedo housing/bar clamp combo was removed and I fabbed up a new speedo mount that mounted on the tank side of the risers instead of in front of the bar clamp. The idiot lights were moved to the tank console. The entire look of the instrument cluster was changed from stock ugly to clean and sano.
If this sounds like what you have in mind, you might PM Glydiator, he came up with the solution that I used and I am very happy about it. Keep in mind that it will require a bit of work on your part, but owners of Super Glides don't have too many store bought options, so we have to be innovative.
I'd post pictures of what I'm talking about if I knew how.
