Default "Sticky" Brake Pedal

The brake pedal on my FXDC has not been fully returning after application and feels like extra effort required to apply. I have lubricated all areas that are accessible, but little to no improvement. Any help or ideas greatly appreciated. Is there some kind of return spring in the master cylinder assembly?

It's caused by dirt getting into the brake pedal. You have to disassemble it, clean it then reassemble. I have to do it every couple of months, as I live in the country with a lot of sand and such flying around.

+1, I have had to do this a couple of times already, and it seemed to me that if I used some kind of lube that it made it attract more debris quicker.
