I have checked several places online without any success so far for a set of front and rear fenders for my 06 FXDI. I have been looking to change up the looks of my SuperGlide by adding a set of fat low swept back type fenders. Kinda like the Street sweepers offered by Sumax. Does anyone know of any companies out there that might have something of the like that would fit an 06? Finding a front fender isnt really a problem, but finding a rear is the problem.

If you are looking for a direct bolt-on, you probably aren't going to find it.

Measure the width of your rear fender and then look for that size. You will have to drill your own holes, but that should be easy enough to do.

I used to have a Suzuki Volusia and lots of guys have changed the fenders this way.

I believe you can get the West Coast Choppers fenders for $99.99 if they are still running the sale.

I am thinking about chopping up my original when I get bored over the winter months...that's always a dangerous time!

 

Thanks for the info,...... I think I'll try and go that route,.... It shouldnt be all that difficult since I've got a buddy who owns a body shop. If i'm not mistaken arent the new fenders on the 06 and 07 model Dynas 9in wide?

I'd say check out FATKATZ outta arizona. They can make any kind of fender you want, just measure it up and tell them what you need. I know my 02 fxdl fender was 7.5" wide. One thing you will have to remember is, the front part of the fender (closest to the battery) is FLAT, so you will have to make the necessary adjustments ( make the front of the fender FLAT) to snug up to the frame.
