Default Got my switch wires in the bars!!

I took some quick pics with bad sun and masking tape still on the bars to hold in some chrome plugs that I glued in the old wire clips holes. It took me 4 hours to do by myself.

Really not that bad I guess, Drilling the holes was a little tricky. Pulling 8 wires was a little tricky too but all in all it wasn't all that bad. Just take your time and mark everything. I used the same wire to do all the switch wires! So I marked them with different colored tapes. I soldered all joints and used heat shrink stuff! It starts, runs, the horn works, all the lights work including high and low beam, blinkers, 4-ways, kill switch so I guess I did a good job

Well done. Good time to switch out those idle/throttles. They look a little taught to me. Hey...is that Wide Glide Conversion a raked triple tree???

No! You can get it raked.

So, what does the conversion kit do? I'd be interested in doing something similar if I can get more rake.

It will convert the front end from narrow glide to wide glide. You can get just about any rake you want....
