Want to replace top triple tree so I can use risers
#4
really? with aluminum top clamp bolts threads built into the upper tree? wish I had one so I could ruin the entire upper tree instead of just a puny riser by stripping its threads...
anyway how is the 2010 street bob's front end? mid or wide gilde? 49mm? trees are black or 'natural'?
cheers

V-Twin Manufacturing has a top clamp for 2006 and up 49mm mid glide forks:
part # 24-0924 Top Triple Tree
did a price and stock check:
They are in stock and price - Suggested Retail Price(US): $132.21
You can probably get a better price from your local indy.....that is the price to order direct from them.
Here is a link to their catalog:

Thanks, Maxxod.
The OEM# 45538-06 is what I would need. I did find a site selling them for $107.00. Almost seems like steal. The dealership quoted $373.00 for the top tree alone.
It almost seems worth it to not have to fuss with cables and such to just buy the trees and some risers to push the stock bars back a couple inches. That is all I need. The height is fine, but it guess I have short arms for being 5' 10" tall. My shoulder are real wide, so I guess that takes up some of my reach forward.
I will have to check the service manual, but would it be just drop the forks, remove the steering nut, and replace the tree. Then reinsert the forks. I figure the light has to come off as well along with the wheel and all that entitles. I would also have to run the wiring into the new tree, but that should be pretty easy. Just unplug and replug. I have to check the manual to verify. I am just guessing.
Which would be an easier swap? Bars/harness extension/re-wire controls or New Tree/Risers/Attach old bars?
Thanks for all the info you all share.

look at http://lonerindustries.com/Products.aspx, they have 4" riser made just for the SB riser/tree combo, he might have to make to order though according to the site. I got the 1" and they are great.
