Good bye 2010 Super Glide Custom, hello 2011 Road King
Just traded my 2010 FXDC in on a 2011 Road King. I am so excited. But had a bad expeirence test riding it today. I had been about 2 miles on it & one of the detachable saddlebags fell off. The sales lady had forgotten to put the pins in. My heart just sank. They have to pay for it but still. That sucks. Well, anyway, thanks to all the guys who have helped on umpteen questions I've asked. I appreciate it all.

RK's a great bike, but I just went the other way this year. I've had 2 RKs and just traded for a 2010 black FXDC. FXDC is faster and more nimble and for me a better riding position. It's not as smooth as a RK, but that's OK. It's smooth enough and 160 pounds lighter.
Enjoy the RK, but you may be back in a few.

That reminds me of the time I installed my buddy's new Thunderheader slip-ons on his Electra Glide... he took the bags off and put them back on after I was finished. I figured he knew how to put his own friggin' bags on, so I didn't check.
Well, time to see how the new pipes sound... we were standing behind the bike when he cranked it up. He revs it one time, the left bag falls off... he revs it again, and the right bag falls off... like a damned comedy sketch. We were laughing so hard we couldn't hardly stand up...
Fortunately they fell on a piece of carpet, and weren't damaged.
