Default What kind of snake is this ?

This little critter was laying by my front door yesterday.... Wondering what kind it is

Oh I know it is a Dyna Forum, I have one so I am entitled to post. hahaha

I think its called a hog snake
No need to kill it. I f its a hog snake it will help keep the rodent population down. I f your worried about handleing it animal control will come over and and relocate him for you.

Here's a different idea....pick it up with a rake or shovel, move it away from the population and let it be. It's one of the harmless ones.

It's a Hognose snake. Relatively harmless unless your a frog or rodent. You should have let him live they are great for keeping the mice and rat population down.

"Encourage " the little fart to some tall grass or a thicket area where it can get some meals.
