Thinking of a Stage 1 on my 2010 WG

I agree that most 2-1 systems are ugly as a gunny sack full of warts. Some aren't but most of those may not be the look you want. Especially on a Wide Glide.
I also agree with ColdCase that looking into the TTS Mastertune might be a good idea if you plan on making future changes. The cost of dyno runs can drive you to the poorhouse.
I also agree with him that style is not a waste of money. No way. I don't know how the O2 sensors in these pipes are placed, but I've seen them on Wide Glides and I think they look pretty darned good. But that's just my opinion.
These are the V&H Big Shots but I'm sure there are many manufacturers out there making a similar look and just as good, or maybe even better, quality.
It's just that, if you DO think you're gonna go to a Full Exhaust at some point, why chuck $250-$300 out the window? I did it and I'm starting to regret it. I wish I would have just bit the bullet and sprung for the full system from the get.
But I was a relative novice at the time, a little intimidated by the newness of the bike, extraordinarily confused and just went with the slip-ons because I couldn't STAND the way the bike sounded.
In fact, I still don't know what I want.

Just me....I am still pleased with the Rush slip ons..sound great and after the PCIII and SE air cleaner install the scoot runs great...I am on a budget and the PCIII and SE air cleaner delivered in were 335.00... tack on the used Rrush slip on's at 140.00 then I have a stage 1 at a resonable price and I am happy with the peformance as well.
