Well I didn't make it to the dealer. My girl has my atm card so...guess I'll be making the trip first thing in the morning for the new isolator.
I was gonna go for a ride so I was reassembling the old isolator because I removed it when I noticed a sensor on the side of the cam chest was not connected to anything.
Yeah, the oil pressure switch isn't connected. The wire broke off right at the elbow going into the sensor. Not sure if I can fix that myself but I'm going to try.
Oh well...it started out being a crappy day and I guess it's going to end as a crappy day.

47583-90B isolator
Ok, so I got the replacement isolator. Although both isolators (old/new) have the same exact part number, they are visibly different. The new one seems to sit just a little lower:
Now, it comes time to replace the isolator, so I referenced the service manual:
Ok, so support the engine and mount the isolator to the frame:
Somehow this doesn't work...
The motor seems to have to move forward ~3/8".
Before taking any photos, I did install the reconditioned front TT brackets. This is where I saw the problem. The heim joint is not lining up with the True Track (the one with the travel limiter screw) motor mount bracket at all. I'm assuming the stabilizer should remain parallel to the TT frame bracket.
The only resolution I can come up with is to loosen the rear mount and physically pull the motor forward, but then I fear the rear will be off.

curious, can you just loosen the mount a bit and let everything kinda meet in the middle?
I have an 05 with TT and i replaced the mount, didnt really pay attention to the issue as you have, but one thing ive learned with exp. never tighten things up until everything has a bolt in it.

Hokay. Maybe this question may hit the 'dumbass-o-meter' redline -- Could you shim the back mount in order to move the engine forward? Or compromise and shim both a little bit? Or..... I'll shutup now.

Here is a photo I borrowed from the TT site. Do you see how the stabilizer is nice and parallel to the front TT bracket? Yeah, I'm not even close to that.
