Default Shifting after 1 hour ride

well as the title says, went for abou a 1hr ride and i noticed that in the beginning putting the bik einto 1 or 2nd gear i would hear the gear and feel it a lot more than after some time. Is it as a simple explanation that the oil warmed up in the trans and the gears go in smoother? I mean putting into 1st was like butter...real easy almost too easy, hence my ??

Sounds normal. Trans oil is heavy and thins out a little when it gets warm. You didn't say how many miles are on the bike or what kind of oil you use but you should be OK.

Oil is cold in the primary & trans. If you are not running gear oil in the trans then try some 75w140 gear oil.
