Default dyna low rider-06 vs 07

Hey guys. It looks like I have decided to get a dyan low rider. I wanted to get an opinion on what I came across today at the dealership. They have a 06 dyna low rider with 184 miles(demo) for $16k out the door. I know that is a couple of thousand dollars different than what an 07 is going for. I am planning on getting a custom paint job either way so I am not concerned about that with the color it has now. Just wanted to get thoughts on if there is enough differences in the 07 to hold out and order what i want.

Thanks

Darren

How much more is the 07? Buddy got a 06 street bob for $2400 less than an 07. Couldn't justify the difference to go for the 07, especially since the 06 has the 6-speed at least.

Hmmmm.......that's what I paid for mine back in May. Might
be a good idea to do a little searching.

The difference in price is over $3k when you add in the taxes and tags. The price starts at $18,200.

Depends on how much those eight extra inches matter. The Dyna's got all the upgrades in `06, except the 96" motor. If the bigger motor doesn't make much difference to you, methinks you might be better off with the `06. If you're missing the extra cubes, do a $700 95" big bore kit, swap the cams and have the heads massaged with the money you saved.

List on an '07 two tone with freight and security system is $17,045, sounds like your dealer is a little high if he is starting at $18,200. Last weekend I rode a stock '07 Street Bob demo and a stage I '06 Wide Glide. Power wise they felt about the same. The '06 has a 70 tooth rear sprocket whereas the '07 has a 66, so that adds a little advantage to the '06 as far as acceleration is concerned.
You can take some of the money saved on the '06 and make it a 95", but if it was me I'd get an '07 and shop around for a better price.

The debate of a 96 or 88 is one of more engine but more money too, can't help with that. But the 16K out the door sounds real high to me, not sure what i'm missing. Below is the MSRP from the HD site for an 06. Of couse i wouldn't let them add freight or setup to the deal since it's used and set up. So now you have a base of 15,900.00 plus 100.00 for ESPFI and your up to 16,000.00, when it was new. Many dealers are going below MSRP to blow out their left over new 06's so that's why i think this sounds high. Work on them some more, i think they can do better on a used 06.

HD Site info-
MSRP
Vivid black $15,620
Color $15,905
Two-tone $16,205
Custom color $16,425
Anodized N/A
Wheel Option $450
Chrome Engine Covers Option N/A
H-D® Factory Security System $275
ESPFI Standard
California Emissions
Carb. N/A
ESPFI $100
Freight (applies to the 48 contiguous states and Alaska only) $275

They have a 06 dyna low rider with 184 miles(demo) for $16k out the door
A year-old demo model for $16k OTD? That's no deal.

They list half wore out rentals for that much here! That's why I don't even bother looking at used bikes at the dealers.

I was offered a 2006 Low Rider for $16,400, a rental fleet 06 Low for the same price (w/ 5K miles... sheesh!) or an 07 Super Glide for 15K. What's the point in getting a used bike unless they'll come down on the sticker? After walking away twice they gave me an 07 Standard for $12,700 + fees, etc. I don't know about all dealers, but I kept walking away and they kept working until they got me into a Dyna Glide... not taking the first bite paid off!
