How much $ to upgrade 2006 IPB and stator issues?
I'm shopping for '07 and up Dyna's. This forum has put the fear of God into me about buying an '06. However, I keep seeing some pretty cool '06's around.
I'm wondering about how much would I have to pay an Indy mechanic to bring it up closer to '07 standards with:
'New doweled cases, Baker IPB, SE compensator, welded stator, upgraded Regina primary chain adjuster.' ?
I have done scheduled maintenance, handlebar swap, etc. I don't see myself having the skill to do the above.

HD has had problems with their IPB forever hence why baker saw a need to fix it. Rider reports show over 30k miles on non doweled cases with the Baker bearing. As far as the dealer workin on my ride. Can I get a big HELLNO? Those monkies will screw up a Hot Dog. Find a local wrench here on the board and do yourself a big favor and buy the upgraded parts for your 06 and pay them, or better yet do what I did and buy a manual and the tools (primary locking bar) (torque wrench) and do it yourself.
My bike rides so much better with the new parts installed I am really happy. Dont get bummed out with all the hype surrounding warranty and what not. My bike performs so much better than stock I am kinda glad I needed to do the upgrade...
