Default shopping for a tank bag

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a tank bag? i'm not familiar with any of the brands so i figured i'd ask first before i buy some junk. I want it to be somewhat spacious so i can fit my glasses, a water bottle, cell phone, wallet, basic little things. It would be a plus if it had a map window too. I'd prefer to get one under 100.

Wolfman makes some nice stuff for the enduro, adventure crowd that might interest you. I have the enduro on my XR 650 and it can move right over to my FXDL. They also make some nice travel bags that go over the rear fender or seat.

Check out T-Bags. They make some good stuff in the price range you're talking about.

I have a Nelson Rigg tank bag with universal straps (magnets, straps, etc.) and can be strapped to tank or rear fender. Great versatility and lots of room.

I use it on the fender over the rear seat. If I have a passenger, it can easily be moved to the tank.

I think I got it from J&P Cycles. But here is the link to Nelson Rigg : http://www.nelsonrigg.com/store/product.aspx?pid=1646

my only concern is fit with all those sport/sport touring bags.. I came across Chase Harper products and they seem pretty nice. I'm waiting for a response from a distributor to see how much of a discount I can get. If anything I think I might get the dowco basic bag for under 40. Another thing that I started shopping around for is a good all around cover and im debating between the Dowco weatherall plus or the nelson rigg defender 3000. I'm the type of person to buy the best if given the option, so i don't really know if i actually need all the features that these covers offer. I don't plan on keeping the bike out late into the season so its not going to see snow, just whatever is in store for the next couple of months. Is it worth spending the money or a regular mid range cover will do? for example dowco ultralite or nelson rigg 500

I use a bilt bag it's expandable and has a clear front. I keep small tools in the front insurance in a ziplock stuff like that I keep a decent size tool bag in the main spot a rag several pairs of glasses a mag lite bungee cords and when it's expanded I've even put my leather jacket it in. I wax the area everytime I wash my bike and its left minimal scratches. I love it!
