why is it that all the cool *** black pipes are for 06 and up dynas .....my 2002 fxdx sport is suffering from exhaust envy ..lol guess ill just get me a thunderheader

They're chrome ... but, definitely look awesome ....

2001 FXDX came with black pipes! My buddy had one,
Way ahead of it's time.
Maybe you can get some stock pipes off fleabay?

 

Fortunately , you are shopping in a great market . Tons of stuff available these days .

 

yeah ...ive got the stock (gutted ) black factory on my 02 fxdx now ...want something different..the d&d fat cat looks good as the thunderheader ithink the 2 into 1 will be better for my future mods..mikuni carb,hi po manifold,cams etc

 

or buy a new bike? probably the most expensive option for sure.

 

just get whatever pipes you like and have them ceramic coated black ....

 

I've got a set of pre-06 Stainless Bassani Pro Streets that are wrapped and painted black I'll give you a great deal on. They only have about 40 miles on them I bought them for a project that didn't turn out.
