Default Seat

I have been looking at seats for a few weeks personally I think my stock Fat Bob looks cheap after I added my custom paint set and some small mods to the cycle. My wife also wants a better seat for when she rides. I have decided on a Danny Gray weekday two up XL shark skin seat base with leather tribal flame overlays to match my paint. I believe they use vinyl in the sides of the seat holds it shape better long term or something like that they said. I am ordering next week should be a 2-3 weeks before it is done.

Not sure anymore, but Danny Gray used to make three or four of HD's higher-end seats. I think the Brawler, Sidekick, Stripper and Rallyrunner. I think.

Too bad one of them won't work for you because Zanotti's can be pretty competitive on Harley parts. I think Danny Gray makes very nice high end seats but they're kinda spendy -- No?

Default seat

I think Danny does make the Sidekick and maybe the other seats you listed also for Harley. I looked at two Danny Gary Custom seats at a local Bike hang out here the workmanship and design made me take several looks at them that evening. One of the Cycles was a $30,000 CVO and the custom seat out shined the bike. As far as cost I figure I could wait a few more weeks save alittle money back from each pay check instead of rushing out and buying a seat for a couple of hundred dollars less just because I was in a big hurry to get a new seat. In the long run I plan on haveing the seat for years so better to get my dream seat now vs having to upgrade again later down the road having to spend more $$$$ all over again. Here is a idea of the design I am going with same shark skin base but leather "tribal" flame overlays on a 2 up seat to match my Fat Bob custom paint.

I'm with ya.

The disappointment of low quality remains long after the thrill of low price is forgotten.

I'm bored. The heat Index is already over 100*.

Dern it.

That's a good question. I am about to order a squareback and was wondering the same thing. Were you thinking of getting a stitch pattern? I like the pattern look, but was wondering if you had heard of any problems with the stitching. Post some seat photos when you get it.

Vinyl wears better. From Chucks mouth directly. I sell C&C's at a discount every day guys!

I prefer vinyl as it is going to hold up better.

Over 2 years and 23k on the C@C Fastback I had on my dyna and it still looked brand new. I went with the Mercedes Vinyl from Chucks recomendation and liked it. Just ordered a C@C solo for the Street Glide in the same.
