I'll second the cable gun lock. Masterlock makes them for cheap. I got 2 online for $10.

I use a $25 nov lid with a snap on brim. They wouldn't be getting much if they did.
I like the idea of locking to the brake rotor tho, for places like Wally World where the dumbayz 16 year olds wander around.

I had my helmet stolen a month ago, hanging loose on the bike. Have never locked my helmet in all the years that I had a bike. Who the h... wants to steal someone else's helmet, it's like stealing another mans worn out shoes :-) To make things worse my wife took the car to bring me another helmet so I could get home safe and on her way to me she crashed the car into a sidewalk and destroyed 2 wheels and 2 tires on the car, so I was not auite happy that day. The guy who stole my helmet was lucky that I didn't get my hands on him, cause I was really ready to kill.... :-)

Anyway I bought a small cable lock that I use everytime now :-)

Smith & Wesson handcuffs keep my helmet safe and the 'cuffs' look cool...

sounds like you had one of those type of days where everything goes wrong, except now you can prove to your wife that women can't drive.
