It looks like you've flipped back and fourth a few times so this looks like a good place to ask. Stock 2010 FXDC front end and putting on the double discs from an FXDF, dealer and forum indicate WG trees are needs (thanks for yours) but what is your experience with wheel spaces......will the stock WG (FXDF/FXDWG) wheel spacers put things in the right place or will I need to get some made/modified? This will be with the stock 19" wire wheel.

Bike looks awesome - love the color. The 21" wheel looks great, but I prefer the ride with a bit wider tire up front. To me it feels more stable, and in control especially on big fast sweeping turns or when the road conditions suck. Like you said though, matter of personal preferance.

Which pipes are you thinking of switching to?

When I swapped my 21"x90 front for a 19"x110 the handling difference was as expected, but when I made that change the new tire was a Metzeler as opposed to the stock Dunlop. Since then I have recently gone back to a 21"x90 front, but this time I again went with Metzeler, I thought grooved roads and such would be a problem once again as well as curves, but I have been VERY pleasantly surprised.
The Metzeler does not follow grooves anything like the stock Dunlop did and it feels very stable in the curves, even long sweepers.
The right tire makes more of a difference that the wider tire did in my experience, There is a particular long sweeper near my home that I enjoy flying through at 70-80, going back to the 21"x90 has not hampered that at all.

your going to have to have spacers made to fit I think but with FB trees an dual disk Im not sure.
