First, glad you are okay.
Second, my insurance company said if I went with the Harley dealership they suggested, they would back the bike repairs for 1 year. The dealer was totally outstanding and I was even able to customize my bike a bit with the approval of the adjuster. $6300 paid by insurance and I'm a happy camper. I usually ride about 10k a year so I figured any problems would show fairly soon into the ride!
The worst part for me was the couple months it took to get all the parts and paint completed!

If you own the bike you can let the dealer fix it and work to trade it in on a new bike- if the dealer actually believes what they told you, it should be a done deal!
I also have a 1953 Pan that was used for hill climbing- a lot of rigid frame cracks and separation.
I let a guy that knew his stuff check it/straighten it/weld it, and it runs all day long in a straight line.
With all the new fancy laser alignment tools and such- it's pretty hard to do a bad job.

Insurance settlement enough to get another bike? My brother was recently in an accident and his '08 SB was a total. Insurance covered the cost of an '07 FXDL and left him with a few K in his pocket.
Hope it works out well for you too.
