Never had a leak either, and I fill it right to the top everytime.

You fill the bike up on the side stand and that's it. You either need a new gas gauge or dig into the fuel tank and see if the float arm is getting hung up.

I was upset when my gas cap leaked too. I thought I was going to ruin my beautiful red paint. Took it home and washed it right away

Depends what set up you have..free flow exhaust and airfilter..reprogrammed ecu or a sert,TM,PC etc with a richer mix..

My fuel mileage seems to have got better with more miles and the engine freeing up.. got an 07 SB and low light comes on around 120-130 miles

Never had a prob with leaking fuel cap and fill it till it comes up into the cup in the filler neck.

That does seem a little low mileage wise I just filled up at about 105 miles and only filled up with ~2.5 gallons, my light came on but it has a tank lift on it and has never been even close since. Best thing to do if you can is get an aluminum 1 gallon gas can to take with you as a back up, then fill the tank and the can then just ride normally until the tank runs dry. That will be your actual range. After that fill up based on mileage not the gauge.

If your bike is stock and your mileage doesn't get better I would have that looked at.

Thanks everyone! You can see from my sig that I have a stage 1, PCV, and slip ons. I'm still getting around 185 to the tank but just mad the light comes on so early! I may take it in but I'm sure the dealer will have an excuse...

Any performance ECM calibration that dumps more fuel will lower MPG from stock. My friend who is a master HD tech with 4 bikes has seen and tried many different units that dropped mileage to mid 20s from mid 40s.
