Heres what I did. Went to the local boat supply store and bought a couple of small cleats, about $3.00 bucks. Not very good pictures,but you get the idea.
Looks pretty good and fucntional too. Buy the way they are an 2007 wide glide.

Interesting! Not quite what I'm going for, but a great idea.

The oval caps p/n 68028-03 are for the light side, not the strut side. I think I'm going to cut some pieces from steel and weld them onto the strut covers, then just powder coat the finished product. I'll post pics as I progress.

I have bungie nuts holding it down but you can see the cover - could look better but at least its covered.

Jousley is currantly out of touch (moving to new residance) but thanks to you P51 and FXD 2003Rider I think his problem is solved and for just $6 bucks.

Old school hole plugs, rifle or pistol shell casings cut down, also makes good bolt head covers. Non auto cartridges work best. Oh and make sure they have been fired first.
