Default Black Nickel Plating with a clear coat over it. *PICS*

I took my headlight, trim, mount and front fender and had them Nickel plated. The guy said it would be best to spray a clear coat over them because the nickel seems to rub off easy. I like it and am thinking about doing tank and rear fender. What you guys think?

I think that looks awesome! Very different for sure. I saw some black chrome at a bike show one time and the owner said it would not be very durable as you would see the scratches from something simple as repeated cleanings over time. I never thought of a clearcoat as this would seem to make it all more durable. I'm curious if and how long the clearcoat would hold up on these type of finishes. again--looks good to me!

Holy crap. I was not expecting that when I read the description. That looks amazing. Excellent addition to the bike. What kind of prices can a person expect to pay to do a few parts like that. Just asking because my dash may wind up like that now that I have seen some of your parts with that finish.

I was thinking about how that would look the other day. Not sure if I'll do it but it looks great!

Looks great ... would be nice to see photos of a little higher quality than your cell phone, but we get the idea ....

Seems natural that it would bear a strong resemblance to black chrome ....

Did you spray the clear coat ...? I think you might have better durability with a clear powdercoat ... you might check with the Powder Pro (JRK5892) but I think the polyester base powder gives a better result (i.e., doesn't yellow from UV light exposure) ....

IMO, the tank and rear fender would look great with the same treatment ....
