It also looks like it has dry rot setting in. Either of the choices you posted will probably work well as would a Pirelli Night Dragon. I will probably get 10K out of the ND front and although I really like it, I am going to try a Venom next time around. You should probably go with the Storm 2 Ultra rather than the Storm ST, the Ultra is a dual compound and should wear better.

I had a dual compound tires on my other bike and did not like the way the sides wore out quickly leaving a raised rib in the middle. Thanks for your input...

I typed into Google -- Motorcycle tires we ship to APO addresses -- And I got a lot of hits.

I don't know how accurate or how useful this information is, but it's a start.
Yea, I was hoping that the tires would last until I rotate back to the states and then I retire.

Never thought about that, probably does work better for those who ride 50/50 or less on twisty roads. I envy you, I would love to have to ride the mountains daily!

The Elite 3 is an excellent tire. I run a 21" on my Night Train and the E3 handles great! I was going to recommend Motorcycle Superstore for the tire but they don't ship tires to APO/FPO addresses. They do ship other stuff there though.

What's your DEROS? Maybe they'll last for a while longer. You got about -- What? Another couple months of riding weather where you are? Wherever that is. But I heard Switzerland mentioned.

In any case, good luck.

Early next year is my DEROS. I am in Germany about 2 hours from the Alps and ride there a lot. I should be able to get another 4 or 5 months in, depends how early the snow comes.

In the clouds at a Glacier between Austria and Italy.

At a look out at about 5145 feet. A lot of switch backs and using first gear to get up the mountain.

I'm seriously jealous. I live in SW Florida and right now the weather just simply SUCKS. Got a Tropical Depression coming through, just to make things better.

Truth is, we do get 12 months of 'riding' weather down here. If you don't mind the heat. I do. But I can sit on my back porch at night, even during the hottest of times, and hear Harleys puttin' down the road. I guess I'm just spoiled. Whatever.

What I really miss is hills. And turns. I used to go over the bridge just to experience going up a hill. Then they put a toll on it and ruined that.

I seriously miss hills, turns, winding roads, etc. But overall, I shouldn't complain.

What beautiful scenery in your pics. But I'm gonna get you back. This February I'm gonna make a point of riding to the Beach, maybe even the Keys, and taking some pics of me and some Beach Bunnies whoopin' it up. Then post them just to remind you to look out your window.

All in fun, of course.

Smile Front tire wear

Before you mount a new tire I would try to find out why you only got about one third of the tire life you should have with your current tire.Wearing out a front tire in 5000miles is hard to believe.I have friends that beat their bikes as hard as they can everytime they ride and they could not do that and they are experts at tearing stuff up.

I replaced the stock Dunlops with the 880's. 90/90/21 for the front. That was about 8 thousand miles ago and they both have a lot of life left in them.
