Got my Big Shots on today.
I started on it Saturday night but couldn't get it done because of the OEM gaskets. When I would make the turn to fit the header into the exhuast port they would snag that gasket on the edge every time. They were so boogered up I wasn't about to go with. I messed with the damn thing for a hour. Got some SE gaskets this morning and had "em on in 5 minutes. Torqued 'em down to 20 nm.... I hope that works.
These thing had the worst flaw in the chrome I've ever seen. See pic.

 

Ummm.... And you put them on why?

Well they're on for now. Hell I'm on vacation this week and ain't leavin my bike down because of their crap. That's why I took the pic right out of the box.

 

Sweet looking pipes & I'm sure the'll honor the defective product w/a swap. Bet they sound good too...!

 

Yep they sound great. Not really louder but deeper than my slip-ons.

I would have shipped 'em right back but I already had the old pipes off and disassembled before I pulled the new ones out of the heat shields. Maybe thats why their instructions say to leave the heat shields on for the install.

Can you even see it under the heat shields? If not them I wouldn't bother...

 

No you can't see it. I'm a little worried the chrome may start coming off from this flaw though. I'm thinkin about runnin them for a while and see what they look like.

Hmm, well maybe you should at least notify vance and hines now, and see what they want to do, if your worried it will peel
