Just an update on the brushed chrome. Its stayed the same with no rust and has the same finish with no problems.

I did this a while back to every chrome piece on my bike. No rust issues. I posted up some info on how to do this and achieve good results. There are also videos on youtube by brass ***** bobbers on the technique. IMO you should have read my post or looked up BBB. Your results would have been much better and not look like you drug your chrome down the road behind your pickup.

Like the Brown seats, but like my chrome, don't think I could bring myself to scratch it.

I saw an article on how to do this in one of the rags out there. They used scothbrite and they also used a few tools from 3M that is like a stripping wheel. It is small and fits in a dremel tool. Saved hours worth of work this way....Love The Look!!!!!

as said a few times, it wont rust unless you penetrate all the layers of the chrome, which is pretty hard to do. But for extra protection, instead of using wd-40 as a lubricant try Gibbs metal protectant. I started using this stuff on all my bare metal as a rust inhibitor and the stuff is fricken amazing. its expensive, but worth it!

I don't care what anyone says, that looks killer. Just got an '05 FXD that the 1st owner spent a $hitload on chrome...I think he skipped only 2 pieces. I'm not a big chrome guy, so this is right up my alley.
